The Burley Griffin Gift is a 10km surfboat race, held on Canberra’s picturesque Lake Burley Griffin.
Starting among the cafes in Kingston, the course takes boats past Canberra’s iconic building and out around the islands in the western basin.
There’s no other race like it.
The Race
A 10km Surfboat and Surf Ski Race held on the iconic Lake Burley Griffin, held in time-trial format.
DIVISIONS • Men & Women • Surfboats: Open, Veterans (+35) & U23 • Surf skis: Open
Entry Fee: $125 per boat, $30 per surf ski.
Registration open until 2 October 2024. Teams that register before 1 September will receive a Burley Griffin Gift t-shirt.
Rolling seats allowed in surfboats. All competitors must be a registered member of a surf life saving club.
Boats launch from Grevillea Park, Menindee Drive, Barton ACT.
Presentations and lucky door-prizes, 1pm at Capital Brewing Co.
